They're deleting a very popular part of the forums. How is that not a mistake?
Because, it's NOT an important part.

Text-Based games are available on many other forums. As the Scratch team has said it is too hard for them to moderate such a popular (and random) forum without getting a very large number of moderators.

Could be. I honestly hope that that is what happens. That way, there won't be a revolt from all the TBGers that are, well, ticked off about it's closure. Like one of the arguments for it's deletion was, the dedicated, true Scratchers will stay. Sure, when I started using the forums I was a TBGer. But it sort of lost it's luster to me; it became kind of boring. I guess I do support the decision to close it.

They made a terrible mistake indeed, but how about we let them suffer for it?
The next victim is going to be Inspiration and More. Save your protest for the ones who aren't doomed yet.

The Scratch Team will NEVER delete inspiration and more, and you didn't even get any supporters on that stupid idea of yours.

It's kinda stupid because the creator of this thread has a very good forum of his own for TBG...

I hope they give the moderators the "O.K." to close every TBG on the other sections...

I'm sure they will. After all, it's not intended to be on the forums anymore.

I understand you frustration BWOG, but the Scratch team will be removing TBG because...
(1.) It often has non-scratch-related topics
(2.) Some users spend all of their time hanging around there.
(3.) Many users agree that it should be removed
If you have problems with their decision, you should use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page to talk to them directly.

Did I sound very Moderator-ly?I might volunteer to be the new TBG moderator... assuming that they have one, that is...
