flagging for no reason

Do you ever do a project thats non-vilent or not rude and a member comes along and flags it?
WELL I HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! once I edited a dance project and made it a spoof
(spoof dance breaker) but another member left a coment saying: you didn't make this, and then
he flagged it! That member didn't get it, it was a spoof, it was make stupid, it was changed!
I also made a project on flagging projects for no reason: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/fleetJ/49419
This is what that member does all day: [blocks]<when green flag clicked><forever>[FLAG A PROJET AS INAPPROPRIOTE FOR NO REASON!!!!!!!]<end>[/blocks]

Re: flagging for no reason

Flagging for no reason is also bad because the Scratch Team gets an email every time someone flags a project. If people are flagging for no reason the Scratch Team is spending time checking useless emails instead of doing improving Scratch or the website. Please flag only when there is a reason for flagging.

Re: flagging for no reason

Exactly what I mean! The scratch Team have the most important job: taking care of scratch.
They don't want to mess around with flagging messages that say they want to flag it for no reason!     Here's an even more horrible story,  I edited a project (pack man) and made it a spoof; no vilence, no bad language and it got flagged for no reason and amazingly the Scratch Team actually fell for it and deleted my inoccent project. I couldn't believe the Scratch Team really deleted my project for no reason!!

Re: flagging for no reason

When a project gets flagged a sertain amount of times, it gets deleted automatically. Maybe the person created multiple accounts to flag peoples projects.  sad

This is so stupid. Scratch is meant for remixing other people's projects.

Re: flagging for no reason

I think the flag feature needs more work still  hmm

Maybe instead of automatically deleting it goes away for a little while for the Scratch team to truly decide whether or not it is bad.

Eg: A project receives 100 flags

It goes away to be 'Reviewed' bye a member of the Scratch team. While this is happening no member can see the project maybe because a message is there saying 'this project is being reviewed'

If it was a useless flag it gets replaced and the member/members that flagged it inappropiately get some sort of warning etc: or reminded what to flag a project for.

If it is correctly flagged it gets deleted fully.

Re: flagging for no reason

Maybe Scratch should temporarily suspend a user who does that.
