This is for everyone, whether you supported it or not.
Andrés has created a sticky in the Text-Based Games mentioning that it will be closed in a week.
Therefore, all of the work is done.
I know that I was the one who suggested it and started everything, but I know that it couldn't be done without my supporters. So thanks to:

who were supporters. And thanks to the countless people who disagreed with me. You both added to it.
Thank you everyone. It's been great to have you with me.
If people want to read the earlier topics about this, I will give the links here. Note that they are all closed; three of them were at my request, and the suggestion cloesd because it was becoming a flame war and the points had already been proven. But anyway...
Should I suggest that the Text-Based Games be deleted?: This was where I asked people's opinions first. But it started out as a joke... but when I saw the growing number of supporters and I studied the seven reasons why it should go more closely, I realized that it was real.
I suggest that the Text-Based Games be deleted.: The actual suggestion. Most of the supporters came from there. And of course, that topic was neccessary, or there wouldn't have been a true suggestion!
Why I want the Text-Based Games deleted (for all you ignorant people): People never seemed to read why I wanted it gone, so they just guessed that it was because people were being mean to each other. Since I have never used that as one of the reason, I created that topic so the false rumors would stop.
An inportant question about the TBG (ignore it that it's a new topic)After reading some posts by cheddargirl and Chrischb, I collected their ideas, added mine, and posted the topic asking three questions about the Text-Based Games.
Thanks everyone!

Yay, I actually helped.

I see they are going
I only hope that those topics don't explode back out into the rest of the forums. Also, a lot of people are probably going to lose a lot off there post count.
Congratulations
I was neutral, but I don't mind whether they stay or go (or in this case, they go anyway).

Well...I'm disappointed that it's leaving. In fact, I'm so disappointed that I made this *points to second line of sig*

They will, not too much though. When there isn't any section dedicated to text games, people just post them in whichever is the section unrelated to the main topic of the forum. And dumb people may not notice the future section announced by Andres.
Congrats on succeding on this, now wait 'till you're flamed to death by thousands of noobs. >_>
EDIT:

No, but they'll lose a section where they probably posted a lot.

Well, well, well, it appears this problem has been solved. Let's see how the community reacts; I know I'll be staying tuned.
One question; will posts from this section still count towards our overall total?Yes, even when this forum is closed, the count will remain the same. In general, I wouldn't worry too much about the count, it's just a number

Technically, he didn't announce the closing. He only suggested, MIT had the final decision

Good point, but I meant noobs may be mad because he started this whole discussion about closing the Text-Based Games.

Actually, P2S was the first one who noticed the problems TBG were creating.
But he didn't tell anybody except the mods and Scratch Team. xP

Yeah, and based on what I've heard the TBG was just an experimental thingy ^^

inspiration and more is going to be spammed with forum games. lol

There's no use trying to stop people from playing forum games in IaM, after all, it's an offtopic section. As long as they're kept to a minimum, they should be allowed, at least until a new forum is made.

Well, not quite yet, there is still the issue of possibly creating a new section and finding new moderators. And with the popularity of TBGs and the need for TBG mods, I guess Scratch is now in a season of moderator campaigns and vouches.

Well, TBG was absolutely useless, it was a waste of server space, and pretty much everyone who contributes to Scratch hated it, so we're getting rid of it now! YAYZ!

The deletion of TBG will not affect your post count, according to Andrés.

Aw. And when it's gone, new members will think they got those posts from actually being HELPFUL and will go to them for help! And they will prosper while the helpful members simply perish!
