Anyone want to vouch for me?

i vouch for The-Whiz. he'd make a great forum moderator!

i think the other's who volunteered just did it for the sake of it.

The-Whiz would be great because:
1. he's NEVER been mean/rude to any one before
2. he's been on scratch a long time
3. he helps people out with scripting matters
4. he's reliable

Re: The closing of the text-based games forums (in 1 week)

I don't really care if there's the seperate website or not, but I want it clear that it isn't related to Scratch.

Would you have to register for that website also, or would you be able to use your Scratch user automatically? I think you should be able to use your Scratch user. It'd be more familiar to the users, and they would actually know who everyone was (unless they registered with the same username, of course).

Would you put a link to the website in the Scratch Forums?

Would Scratch moderators have power in the new website also?

I am full of ideas...

From what I understood, it's going to be a section in the Scratch website. So no, you won't have to register for it.

I don't think so.

Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

1. Yay!

2. Yay! No offense to you moderators though... but the Text-Based Games moderators should be chosen with different ways... because they'll be moderating games only.

Magnie has made a website for it. But it isn't http://scratch.mit.edu/someotherforum... it's http://www.punbb-hosting.com/forums/ScratchTBG/. Though the official one should be made by you. It just has to be the Scratch Team, doesn't it?  smile

If there's a website, you are keeping the old games, aren't you?

^_^ Archmage's idea went through then it seems  smile

I wish the new mods luck, I wouldn't mind being one myself but I don't think I'd be better at the postion than a few others, and I can't really list reasons for why I would like to be a moderator for the new forums.  smile

Re: The closing of the text-based games forums (in 1 week)

Hello Scratch team. Seeing as how the text based games will be deleted, I would like to help keep them alive by being a moderator for the new website (if you get enough volunteers). I know I've only been Scratching for a few months, but I'm pretty sure I've established good reputation in the community.

This would require a lot of work, so we would only do it if we can find  a couple of moderators who would commit their time to keep these forums free of inappropriate behavior, dissolve fights and follow the Scratch Terms of Use.

If you enjoy using the TBG forums and you are interested in keeping them alive on a separate website and you have a long established good reputation in the Scratch community and you would like to volunteer your time to moderate these new forums,  please let us know.

If you chose me to be a moderator, I would follow these conditions and be the very best moderator I could be.

Thank you for taking the time to read this Scratch team.  smile

I didn't see this because I never use this forum, but I commend your decision. I was just wondering why the heck Andresmh was posting on this forum  tongue

Anyhow, I'd like to volunteer for the new forum. It won't hurt me at all if you don't choose me, but I have been on Scratch for about 1 1/2 years and love these forums. I'd be able to be on the forums as much as you need me, as long as it doesn't coincide with school  smile

And you.  big_smile

I fully support the idea of moving them somewhere else. I'm not a big supporter of the TBG, but it seems like a fair way to make both sides happy.

I volunteer to help moderate. I log on to scratch every chance I get, and I've helped settled arguments in the past. I'm not one of those people who stands out from the crowd, so I don't know how many supporters I have, but I'm not someone who would abuse the powers or not use them at all (lol).

And you.  smile
