the coordinate plane

Maybe there could be an option to choose only one of the four quadrants on the coordinate plane so you wouldn't have to deal with negatives and positives.

Intresting idea. It would be harder to program some equations though, like circles.

Well, marginally harder. All we need to do is scale them with a (##*2) and offset them with addition and subtraction.
