you already can do that PCKid. In the variables section it shows a little circular shape that has the name of the list with a tick box next to it. Un tick the box. Unless of course you wanted the blocks hat say hide and show. I agree with it like that. Nice idea

Yeah, PCKid wants the blocks. You should know about the [x] and [ ] for variables and lists. This feature should have been implemented in 1.4 but apparently not.

I mean that there should be a block or two that lets you hide and show lists

Everyone seems to want the hide and show blocks. Everyone loved it when they added it for variables in 1.3, so why not add it for lists? It's true that lists were added in 1.3, while variables have always existed (I wasn't with Scratch back then, but the earliest projects have variables).
It's weird that they didn't add the blocks in 1.4, but they might in 1.5...

Where, or how did you get those?

Ha...I'll tell you though. I made those. Using byob. Just made a block that says hide list and show list. Then created a list called list. Then just grabbed the screen region to get the dropdown. After that just put the two sprites together and added color.

It was just a joke!

There are ways to fudge hiding and showing lists if you use a cover. It's a bit complicated sometimes...
