Do you mean a platform on screen that a character can stand on?

if you made a game with a car and you were able to drive the car using your arrow keys how would you keep the car going without stapping at the end of the screen

jman64, it is called a scrolling background (or game).

There are a lot of topics on the forums.

You can download any project you see on the Scratch site and use it as a starting point, or just study it to see how it was done.  Click on "download" in the upper right corner...
