Bug in Title of project?!?

Everytime I open 2 scratch windows at once (accidently, sometimes I click it too many times) one of them will say Quit?!?!?!?!? and then some gibberish (hahahaha a funny word), sometimes only for maybe 2 seconds, sometimes even if I downloaded the project from the website!
Is this only on my computer or yours?

Re: Bug in Title of project?!?

Sometimes I've accidentally brought up two versions of Scratch, but nothing bad happened.

Re: Bug in Title of project?!?

I have noticed this as well.  For me, it happens pretty much every time I open a version of 1.4 Scratch.  For a fraction of a second, the title of the document will be something like "Quit Y/N" followed by some other text.  It is usually quickly then replaced by the usual title, either "Scratch 1.4 of 30-Jun-09" (for a new project) or the name of the project (for an existing project).   Occasionally, if my computer is bogged down, the odd title will remain there for as long as a second.

I always just figured that this was something in the way Squeak and Scratch were interacting during the start-up process but I don't actually know.  I doubt that it's a virus.

Has anybody else seen this?

Re: Bug in Title of project?!?

I have seen it, on all three of the computers that I've used scratch on this has happened, I'm sure it's completely normal, and that there would be nothing to worry about, considering that I saw it on a completely clean computer, so it couldn't be something like a virus, it may be a bug, but that's the most I would think of it.

Re: Bug in Title of project?!?

This bug happens if you have a damaged hacked version of Scratch like for instance my version of Scratch called Scratch TMP 1.0.1 it ended up damaged and had this problem and a few others.

Re: Bug in Title of project?!?

Actually, this happens on my clean, unedited copy of Scratch 1.4, so it isn't only in edited copies. But I'm sure it doesn't harm anything, so, there's not much left to say if the Scratch Team hasn't fixed it, or if it's impossible to fix.

Re: Bug in Title of project?!?

Hm, I just tried it. I didn't get the bug. Does this have to do with how slow/fast your computer is at the moment?

Re: Bug in Title of project?!?

I've gotten that 'Quit' glitch, too sometimes. It seems to prevail the most when my computer is running slower than normal and it will stay like that for a few seconds. Not really detrimental, but strange.  hmm

Re: Bug in Title of project?!?

It's a 'hiccup', I suppose, of Scratch still reading the image(any good Scratcher knows Scratch is made from an image file).

Re: Bug in Title of project?!?

I see this ALL the time when I am playing around with my collection of image files.

I only see it with my image version of 1.4...

I have never seen it with my normal 1.4 though.  tongue
