I am making a new game, called 'The New World'.

It's a space game, so I need a lot of spaceships. And I am sure you guys draw way better spaceships then I do - so here it goes:

Anyone who's interested can draw a spaceship. It could be a cargo ship, a passenger ship, a defense ship, an attack ship, an automatic fighting drone thing, a mine, a defense turret, just anything space related you can imagine.

It should be top view, just like the ship on the picture above and the ones already in the gallery. But if you have something different already, no problem, just submit.

Submit your ship in a Scratch project and then add it to this gallery:

Or leave a comment there so I can add it.

When I pick your ship, you'll be credited (of course) in the game.

Your creations will fly around in an infinite space. It might be controlled by the player - or by the computer. It might be a good-guys ship, or an enemy...

I think it looks great and has a nice control - but share you thoughts!

That certainly is a great drawing, but I am looking more to top view ships like the three already in there - that fits more in the game... sad

Sorry I'm bumping this old topic up but this contest is still open.

Really, the project I already have on my PC is certainly the best Scratch game I've ever made. I'll update a demo soon. If you'd like to bring your creations to life in a space world which might reach the front page then this is your chance.

If no one's interested it's ok, I can draw tons of space ships and stuff if needed and I have a brother walking around here that is full of inspiration because he watched way too much Battlestar Galactica...

These are the features already up and working in the project:
• 3d-ish infinite scrolling as shown in demo α0.01
• Special space-ship control, as shown in demo α0.01
• Tons of ships smile
• Base stations etc...
• Direction Guide towards destination in space
• Other Space ships flying around
• FPS-control: gameplay speed is not affected by the Frame rate at which Scratch runs the project
• Automatic GFX Control: If the FPS drops, cpu-demanding graphic effects like ghost fades, scrolling layers are turned off to pull it back up.
• Dynamic engine sound (Wow I'm proud of that ^^) Special space engine sound, hear (?!?! Nothing to hear in space, but, let's make an exception) the acceleration of your spacecraft
• And, ofcourse, shoot at things with different weapons.

I have a whole list of to-do's in my mind but I'm not posting it since I probably won't finish them all.

I'll upload a demo very soon - be patient.

As you probably noticed I'm very proud of this project so... Screenshots! (No fakes, just taken while playing the game)
