Nothing, it just stays on "Connecting to Scratch......" for the longest time, and when I hit cancel, another one pops up

I think it might not be loading up because the projects name is "Flip"

If you have command prompt, try pinging scratch.

The command is something like
/ping scratch.mit.edu

If it fails your computer isn't connecting.

pinging?

Try changing the name, uploading it, then changing the name back.

weswesrock: Were you able to upload projects before? If so, did you recently upgraded your operating system? What OS do you have? Do you have a firewall and/or parental protection software? What about a proxy? Do you know if your network uses a proxy?

Thanks!

I have had no problem what-so-ever uploading projects before.
I have not updated my OS since last year
I have Windows XP (not home, not pro)
I'm pretty sure I don't have a proxy, if I do, I don't use it.

Okay, I tried re-uploading one of my other projects, and I had the same issues.

I'm worried i'll never be able to upload again  sad

EDIT: Third update with a different project is having same issues yet again  sad

How about you uninstall and then download and reinstall Scratch again? You might've corrupted it over time.

This is very odd... Do you have a block that you 'made' like Jens 'Flip' block? Have you tried having a different project name?

Re: Project won't upload

What about parental protection software...any of that installed and running on your computer?

Do you have access to other computers in your house with Scratch installed - if so can they upload projects?

Is your computer a laptop?  If so - have you tried taking it to a different internet connection point (like a library) and uploading from there?

2.No, it's on my external hard drive

3. I've RAN scratch on my laptop before, but I use my computer for posting and such

Often, it's because you're internet's disconnected. But how the heck can you post this without being connected?

Click cancel on the second window and see if that cancels it.

That may be the problem. It's weird, but I've seen it happen before with both flash and scratch projects. Try not compressing it.

It might work, it might not, but it's worth a try.

scratch_yoshi wrote:

Ok, no offense, but that is pretty pointless. The window isn't the problem, it's the fact that it won't upload. If he couldn't close the window but wanted to, he would just force quit (with mac), or close from Task Manager (with windows).
