Folks,

Sorry if this suggestion is already out there.
I loved the new camera button in 1.4, but I would suggest a camera block, e.g., "take a picture" block, to make possible to "programming" taking photos while a scratch project is running.

That's a really good idea. However, this would probably require cloning or something.

This would be interesting...It would open many new doors for project ideas smile I myself don't have 1.4 yet, I've been meaning to download it, but I keep forgetting ^^ Oh well. I'm content with 1.3 for now.

They do sort of have that. Left click and go to GRAB SCREEN REGION FOR NEW SPRITE and take a pic of something running in the thing. smile

No, I think they mean to take a picture with a webcam.

Yeah, I agree, to be able to program a game or something with Scratch to take pictures using the user's webcam while it is running would be great! Also sprite duplication would be very useful, as using Go to x: y: with a forever if doesn't work so well without lag.
But being able to take a pic with a webcam would open up so much, such as image photo editing, and stuff like that. I never would have thought of this, good idea!
