This is the easiest way to get front page, or get recognized
Make good projects. There are no shortcuts. You can beg, cry and threaten to quit all you want, but there really isn't a shortcut that doesn't end up getting you hated or resented. Unless it unavoidable try not to quit, and when you do, please don't make a big deal about it. This may be hard, but nothing that is worth ANYTHING in life is easy. Remember: Not everyone gets to be famous like 0.001% of the people on scratch get famous.
also Fame for the sake of fame doesn't belong on scratch. This is a community devoted to programming, not getting famous.
GreenFlash: Be patient and don't try to be famous. (it could get really annoying) Just wait, someday you might be pleasantly surprised!
To Mods: you may say that this doesn't belong, I disagree, scratch has grown somewhat lazy, The projects on the front page now currently lack effort (except for some certain projects) it is important to show the next generation of scratch that hard work has no substitute. This is also directed at people new to scratch.
you may see pinochio's project of How to get famous. It is partly a joke, but it is a poor one as people will take it seriously. Some of his advice shouldn't be followed. The part about spamming and threatening to quit will just make people annoyed with you.

YES! That is sooo true! Pinochio shouldn't have put that project up. Its going to make more people "quit" and spam.

I can't see how anyone could take pinochio's project seriously... and I DEFINITELY agree that you have to have some sort of skill, be it animation or games. Personally, I like games more than animation, but I can't believe "I QUIT" projects get front page. Submitting a project of only the Scratch Cat sprite (in other words, the project that pops up when you open Scratch) is about as good as any of those projects.

Actually, I don't mind it being here, since it is directed at new Scratch members who want to get the front page. (Although I would have thought a better place for it might have been the section 'All About Scratch'. )

Aha. It will make people get annoyed with you. But it will make you famous
Like I said, it was a spoof. I was just writing down what people in scratch do! Anyways, some of it is the truth
