PNG image of projects

The Scratch web site apparantly automatically creates PNG images of projects for display on the site. (for instance the images of the projects that are displayed on the front page of this site are actually PNG images).  How are these created?  Is there a tool to create a PNG image of a scratch file?

I believe that the image Scratch creates is taken from the screen of the project when it's saved. It then goes throught there server (I think) and creates that image  smile

At least I think it's something like that, Paddle or Andres probably know xD

Scratch generates the thumbnail and sends it together with the project when you click "share".

There is however a tool to do this on your own computer:
