Echostrike stepped over the fainted kit's body, and hissed,"Get out of her, murderers!" Shredslash replied,"Now mother, there's no need to act hostile. I wouldn't start a fight, you're blind, and wouldn't last a chance!"

Tallstar boomed with laughter. "Go on, Echostrike. Take your son's advice and leave, before you end up like this poor cat," He gestured towards Bravetail. "Now step aside. I'm still thirsty, and those kits would really hit the spot," He grinned wryly.

Goldenkit's eyes widened and he looked at Snowkit.

Tallstar glanced down at Goldenkit, and bent over. "I'll tell you what. Fetch me yournlittle friend over there, and I'll let you live." He offered Goldenkit, pointing towards Snowkit. He grinned wryly; any sensible cat could see that even IF Goldenkit agreed, he'd snatch them both.

Goldenkit looked up at those bloodthirsty eyes. He looked over at Snowkit, he could see her fear. He looked at Tallstar and hissed defiantly. "I would never betray a friend!" he mewed.
