I agree with you, put me up there for the people who agree. I don't see why people play them, they are all about the same thing, I tried it once because I was bored and it gets old fast, and a lot of the topics are just spam. So get rid of them!

Yeah, its all about learning programming skills. Although I would perfer games to animations, that would defeat the purpose and therefor, I beleive wholeheartedly that nothing should stop there progress.
However, TBG have nothing to do with programming, and therefor should not be included.

No, they wouldn't because people could just go to whatever separate forum they were relocated to.

I see your point. I'm usually neutral on stuff like this, but I see your point. I do admit I am posting more in the other sections now instead (not inspiration and more and text based games). Forums are for support right? Anyway, I wonder how this will all turn out.

Here's what I think are the major issues:

1. Retaining post count. If posts from inspiration and more are deleted, will the posts from them still count?
2. Quitters. How many people will quit scratch if these sections are gone?
3. Spam. After deletion, will games still be posed in other sections, spamming the site?
4. RPG's. After deletion, RPG's will be played in galleries. People might complain about "too many warrior cats" or warrior cat galleries

There will also be complaints, whichever way the scratch team decides. I don't envy them.

Please don't add me to the list, i'm still on the fence, but comtemplating still.

Yeah but out of the like 100 new members a day, Only 5% acually stay going for atleast a month. Some 3% of that 5% won't even find the forums!

I don't care much if Inspiration and More goes away also, but I don't mind if it stays either. It isn't so bad. You can do surveys for your projects and find what types of projects people like, but in Text-Based Games people just play and play...

People may quit if the Text-Based Games gets deleted, but I don't really care. Those people only have joined Scratch so they could play those games (probably). So if they quit, we'll be left with users who actually care about the Scratch Community.

In other words, I'll like it if the people quit; we'll be left with the actual users of Scratch.

By no means should it be deleted, just moved or changed so it doesn't come up with the rest of the posts. This would also apply to the other off topic thread.

I'm fine with moving or changing, but it gets the point across better when it say 'deleted'. 

I can't rename this topic anyway. If I could, I would have renamed it "I suggest that the Text-Based Games be deleted (or moved).". And I don't think forum moderators can rename topics either.

RPGing is incredibly fun, undoubtedly. But people should stick to the dedicated galleries for that. RPGing in the forums is... time-wasting, space-wasting... and the mods have to monitor that stuff. I didn't know about this until a few minutes ago... and well, yeah, like previously stated, the forums are helping others, not helping yourself to some ill-minded Text-Based Game or whatever. I completely agree.
