Thicketfur followed Hollyhunt's scent, which led out of camp. He followed it until he saw Wildstripes dead by the river, and Hollybreeze in shock. Thicketfur padded over to Wildstripes, his stomach in knots.

Thicketfur bent over to pull Wildstripes out of the river. He glanced over; Hollyhunt was too distracted to see Thicketfur clean his white and red fur out of Wildstripes' claws. *Nobody can ever know.* He thought solemnly. He bounded over to help Hollyhunt.
