Thicketfur glanced over at Hollyhunt. He wished he could go back to her....But that would be shallow. And she already had a new mate. Wildstripes frowned. "Calm down, eh. Cats die. It's the circle of life." he meowed to the deputy. "YOU CALM DOWN!" Thicketfur snapped at Wildstripes. He was really the only thing standing between him and Hollyhunt, but he held himself back.

Wildstripes smiled. "Of course," he purred, bounding over to the fresh-kill pile and sorted through it, trying to find a big peice for Hollyhunt and himself to share.
Thicketfur collapsed into a heap of misery on the ground. He buried his face into the dirt, he didn't want to see the Clan he might one day lead see him cry. He was a deputy for StarClan's sake; He had to suck it up.

Thicketfur looked up. "I'm ok." He murmured. He sulked to inside the nursery and curled up in the den Earthsong slept in both times she was in the nursery. He let out a heavy sight; her scent was still fresh.
Wildstripes came back with a plump rabbit. "Care to share, eh?" He asked Hollyhunt happily.
Darkkit traveled along the path he took before to get to the Gathering of the other kits. Blizzardkit was the first to arrive, taking his spot on top of the rock, as he thought he was supirior.

Autumnkit snuck out of the nursery, and hurried towards the meeting spot. It was harder getting out of the nursery these days.
Wavekit and Stonekit snuck out as well, managing to get away. They were en route to The Great Rock.

Thicketfur looked up and watched in sorrow as Hollyhunt and Wildstripes shared a meal. He remembered when they were mates. He was better for her than Wildstripes.
