What's your favorite novel?

When I say novel, that means that I don't want an answer like "The Encyclopedia Britannica" or "A Guide to Insects".

I want the name of the novel, along with why you like it and a quick sypnosis.

Hopefully you will find a new book that you will enjoy.

I will start:

My favorite novel is White Fang. It has a brilliant writing style, and it has a nice story. It keeps moving, and it iss never boring (in my opinion, of course).
The sypnosis: a wolf that is brought up in the wild at the Arctic, and things happen. He starts out normal, but he grows more and more ferocious. Eventually, he is saved by human love.

Enjoy yourselves!

Well, the best is Zarathustra, obviously. ^^

I don't need to explain why. xP

I also enjoyed Crime and Punishment which I read several months ago. xD

Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

Re: What's your favorite novel?

Tough question. I'd have to go with all 3 of the Eragon series books, Eragon, Eldest, and Brisingr by Christopher Paolini. I can't really give a synopsis of it because it would be very long, and would reveal a lot about the books in case someone reading this would rather read the actual books.

An absolutely great series, one of my favorites.

As to the actual question, I have read so many it is really hard to tell. I loved HP, read them at least 7 times each(Each book 7 times that is). Eragon was also great. The Wheel of Time series was fantastic, but the author died before writing the final one, so it was never finished... Pendragon was a good series, along with Percy Jackson, And redwall has been great. Need to read the last one of those though...

Yeah, I like reading.
FMT, have you read Dan Browns new one, The Lost Symbol? Also a great book, although Angels and Demons was better.

I also like John Feinstein's sports mystery books, like Last Shot and Vanishing Act. Another favorite of mine is The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin.

I'll just say Specials by Scott Westerfeld.
Excellently written, action-packed, made me shed a tear at one point...
I love the whole Uglies series, though.

I also enjoyed Crime and Punishment which I read several months ago. xD

Me three for White Fang! It has so much detail, and it shows him learning about the world. Assuming that a still lake was solid... that was interesting.

I clicked on your link to Zarathustra, pasted it into a Word file, and I'll check it out later.

And sorry, I haven't read Crime and Punishment.
..............................
Around the World in Eighty Days for me. (GO VERNE!)

It's not nutty like the movie (the recent one), and it includes a lot of travel and culture. It also has some memorable characters and a good story.

Really? GIVE ME A COOKIE! I was thinking about recommending it to you. Then I suppose you've read The Call of the Wild? It's meant to go with White Fang, though they don't have a similar story.

I prefer White Fang though.

Yes, we're brothers.

EDIT: Did you make up that count 168, or is it real?

And for the converting to your religion, I've only read the first bits so far. But I have some library books to get through... *yawn*

My favourite books are:
The Mist by Stephen King - It's not very long but it's awesome!
Pet Sematery by Stephen King - Another "scary story" - lol  smile
Dragon by Clive Cussler - It's absolutely brilliant!
