Rosewing saw Owlstar and tried to purr, but it sounded broken and choppy when she made the sound. She felt so foolish for ever trusting that badger of a cat, Tallstar. She wanted to claw his good eye out.

Please hold on, I'll take you to camp now," Owlstar murmured, cursing Tallstar to himself. *Why didn't I kill him back then?* he whispered to himself while carrying his mate. He was weak and beaten himself, his neck fur stained dark red with blood. Flameriver was nowhere to be seen, and Owlstar felt guilty for not thanking the cat.

Rosewing hung limp from Owlstar's jaws while he carried her to camp. She hoped that, dispite the awful fall that most likely broke half the bones in her body, she would be fine with a bit of rest. Icepaw was sitting in camp, bored, when she saw her parents enter camp, badly injured and smeared in blood. She gasped, and scrambled over.

Thicketfur poked his head into the nursery and purred. "Hello Earthsong," He chirped. "Hello Mouseclaw. You look well," he added.
