Re: C/c++/c#

if you don't know how to program in C, you can get the C for Dummies book and it comes with  the program and compiler.

Re: C/c++/c#

I had to learn Scratch without any help at all.

My brother: "I don't understand! Tell me how to use it!" I did most of his projects for him.

Well, you are in luck, because there are more free C compilers and on-online tutorials than you could sample in a lifetime. C# is a Microsoft-flavored C++, and C++ is an object oriented version of C (and "object oriented" is something you already know about, since you're good at Scratch). Whenever you see "visual," it basically means you can click and drag components around and actually "see" the program visually (rather than being text alone)... Wait. That also sounds like Scratch...

Re: C/c++/c#

No, visual means that the code has interactive tips, and you can design windows by dragging elements.... Visual may also mean syntax-coloring thing. I had Visual Web Designer, but then I got Flash and I'm trying to learn it.

Lol, not surprising though.  tongue  I learn most of my electronics from him, everything else I learn myself. ^.^ I learned how to play Starcraft when I was 4!! (Starcraft is a game by Blizzard. Don't worry about it if you don't know what that is.  wink  )

Re: C/c++/c#

You only need the compiler. Use the GNU GCC Compiler. You can do the rest in:

Notepad // Windows
TextEdit // Mac OS X
gedit // Most Linux distributions.

You will need help with C/c++/c#. It is not easy. I recommend getting the Dummies package. It is much better than trying to learn from online tutorials.
