Asterisk next to a user name identifies members of the Scratch Team
Three days ago we started showing an asterisk next to the user name of members of the Scratch Team. This only applies to comments in projects and galleries. This can be useful when someone from the Scratch Team tries to intervene in moderating discussions.

Wow! This will be really handy, because you can see that it's a member of the Scratch Team talking (well, commenting).
Though maybe a bold typeface would look more formal? Because the asterisk looks slightly out of place... or maybe I just need to get used to it.
Oh, and Scratch on as always.

That's very useful Andrés! That way you can tell... though they're normally popular. 
I noticed this when Paddle2See replied to a comment that I posted on one of his projects.
In the 'My Friends' Latest Projects', you can see the asterisk too! That's good detail...

I had a feeling that the clickable asterisk was being applied to every Scratch Team member's username when I first saw it. Sounds like a really neat idea

I was thinking just the same thing. Moderators should be just like the Scratch team without access to modifying the site.

Dunno if forum mods really need a symbol next to names outside the forums. But if we did, I was thinking of a tilde (~) would be a nice, interesting touch for a symbol representing a moderator (although I would also settle for the bland apostrophe 
).
