http://www.factmonster.com/spot/washington1.htmlHey, that's pretty cool! A bit Americentric but hey, we would welcome other countries holidays :-)
Heh heh. Yeah, I wasn't trying to diss other countries. I'd like to do several of the lesser-addressed dates of note from a variety of cultures when I have some time. But we do live in the US, and Washington *was* born at some point.. Happens to have been that day. ;]

Hmm. For Pi day, I'd be interested in whether anyone could write a program that computes digits of Pi. There's actually a well known algorithm that computes the nth digit of pi without computing the ones that come before it (nope. i'm not making that up. check out the wiki entry on pi)...

We have featured TegansPoppy's logo for Washington's birthday today. It was a bit later in the day but it's still on the right day :-)
I also updated the holiday logo's page: http://scratch.mit.edu/pages/holidaylogos
Thanks a lot for your submission! It's very simple and aesthetic logo.
I hope more people would start submitting logos for other holidays. The Pi one is next!

If anyone is interested in making a Pi day logo (I might) then the website http://www.piday.org is a great Pi day resource! It has countdown widgets, info about the day, and the first million or so digits. Kinda intresting.
Also: Andres, the Christmas logo on http://scratch.mit.edu/pages/holidaylogos says 2008. Christmas 2008 hasn't happened yet!

mariotornado: thanks for your submission but the logo should be a PNG file of the right dimensions (see the first post on this thread for more info).

Saint Patrick's Day is the national holiday of the Irish people. It is a bank holiday in Northern Ireland, and a public holiday in the Republic of Ireland, Montserrat, and the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. In the rest of Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States and New Zealand, it is widely celebrated but is not an official holiday.

Lanie, I think you mean 'Shamrocks', not 'Clovers'

Many new logos, that's great!
Just make sure that the image itself doesn't have the "imagine program share" part. Just like the logo that TegansPoppy submitted recently.

This is my entry for St. Patrick's Day (March 17):
(I know, it looks too similar to Lanie's, but I made it before I saw hers. It's a coincidence.)
<think[ How can I make a game for this...
