The Scratch server probably timed out, either due to a slow connection or due to the file size being large.
To reduce the file size, you can compress the images and sounds.
Go to the "Extras" menu and click "compress images." Also try "compress sounds."

I have a problem. I can't post my project on the computer because supposedly it's too big to upload. Is there anyway to fix it? It's currently 18,755 KB.

AmethystFox: does you project have music, sound or photos? If so, try compressing them.
Click on the extras button and compress images and sounds. That could help reducing the size.
The maximum allowed is about 10,000 KB.

Try again. We were updating the website today and you probably tried to upload at the same time as we were making changes. Apologies for the inconveniences.

"Address not found" sounds like an internet connection problem. Does the same machine allow you to go to the web site? Is there a firewall with a filter between the machine and the connection to the internet?

I download a project but the sound or recordings dont work!
Have you tested your computer to make sure other sound files are working...try playing an MP3 file just to make sure the volume is turned up, the speakers are hooked up and so on.
Once you know your computer is okay, the next question is does this happen on all Scratch projects you download or only on one particular one? If you have succesfully run sounds on other downloaded Scratch projects then maybe there is something wrong with that one project. Try downloading it again, maybe it was corrupted.

You just open the folder that you saved the project in. Find the project and move your mouse over it then a cream yellow block comes up with information on that file in it it says how much the file is.

OK here's how to find the folder, if you saved it in the scratch projects folder first you open up my computer, next go to program files, then scratch, then media and finally projects, wait for the files to load and should display the file size

Projects uploaded and shared on the website are limited to 10 MB - could this be the problem?
To decrease the size of your file go to: Extras menu > compress sounds, compress images

yeah, for some reason scratch can't connect to the internet. Turn the computer off then turn it back on. That should make it work.
