My Second Sprite Disappears?

I'm working on a project for school where I need to incorporate two sprites. Randomly while working, the second sprite will vanish from the video. It's still listed and all the commands are still there, but when I press play the sprite won't show up. Any suggestions?

Re: My Second Sprite Disappears?

Check the scripts for the sprite that disappears. Do you have a "hide" block anywhere? If so you'll need to use the "show" block and it'll appear again.

If not, do you use the ghost effect? If the ghost effect is set to 100, it'll also be invisible, and you need to set it to 0 to make it show up again. If you still don't have it fixed I can't think of what the problem could be...

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Re: My Second Sprite Disappears?

Possibly the sprite has moved off the screen to the point where you can't see it any more.  That is more likely to happen with online projects than with projects in the Scratch program.

Another possibility is that it is hidden behind the first sprite.  You can use the "go to front" block to make sure that it is on top of any other sprites.

If you right-click on the sprite in the list of sprites below the stage and choose "Show" it should make the sprite reappear from wherever it is hiding.
