It's wonderful to read the ideas on how young people could participate in the conference. We are excited for Scratchers of all ages to share their ideas, stories, and experiences with one another, and we encourage people to submit proposals for youth-led and mixed-age sessions.

Please note that we will not provide any type of special supervision for young people at the conference. So young people should be accompanied by parents, teachers, or other adult guardians.

One idea:

Scatch-in challenge
What can a room full of Scratchers of all ages create in under two hours? Let's find out. Bring your own laptop or plan on partnering with someone who has one. Everyone finds a person they don't already know (age mixing encouraged) and has two hours to make an original Scratch project together, from scratch. At the end of the time, the work gets posted to the Scratch-in gallery and everyone celebrates with popcorn.

Doing something like this later in day, after regular sessions, would be a nice way to make more connections.

I really wish I could come to this conference, however I live in england (boo hoo). It surprises me how young most of our scratchers are. It would be funny seeing fellow scratchers at the conference.

Anyway, as soon as I am old enough I plan to visit a scratch conference. I hope there is some way seeing the conference live, I would love to get to know some of the scratchers.

Anyway, that's all I have to say, happy scratching and happy conferencing!

Well, it does matter somewhat how old you are, since minors aren't allowed to travel without parental permission, and could have difficulty getting to and paying for the conference without parental support.

Scratch doesn't care how old you are, but airlines and hotels do.

I wan to go really bad, it would be great for me to watch the presentations. But i cant due to im going on vacation and my parents are saving up money for it T_T
