A game I'm thinking about making.

Story: You are the last remaining ninja of your clan, who have been entrusted with the most valuable and powerful object in the universe, the dragon scroll. If the spell on the dragon scroll is recited on the summer solstice on a leaf year, the user can summon the might of the dragons, and will gain unbelievable wealth and power. Although you have discovered that if you posses the scroll, but do not recite the spell, you will get another type of wealth, for more valuable than any amount of gold or jewels. That is Happiness and contentment. Not many people know this, because contrary to your belief, people don't read the fine print as much as they should.

So an evil warlord steals the dragon scroll to gain the power and wealth. You must journey to castle and steal back the scroll before he reads the spell.       

Some weapons and the ninja:


Weapons:
Dagger
Short Sword
Katana (middle left)
Staff blade (far left)
Bow and arrow (middle right)
throwing star (far right)
I need more weapons!

Gameplay:
This is based more on fighting than scrolling, you can block with every melee weapon. however they will only be effective if you block before the attack, and a just as your being attacked. the staff is the best weapon, however it will affect speed,jump hight.
this will be also a Y scroller. At certain points you can run along the tops of building

it will have a couple levels
level one: the village
Level two: The Castle's Courtyard
Level three: Inside the fortress   

Enemies and A.I.
So basically I plan on having an A.I. Director, that places enemies, according too your stats.
The archers will fire at you as long as they are within screen range. Once you get too close they will run at you with a dagger.

Conscripts have lower health and attacks 

Enemies level one:
Conscript infantry (short sword)
Conscript Archer (short bow)

Enemies level two:
Regular Infantry (Spear)
Regular Archer (bow and Dagger)

Enemies level three:
Elite Guard (Spear long sword)
Elite Archer (Composite Bow and short sword)
Samurai (Bow and Katana)
So.. do you think this is a good idea or... no?

OK since people have been liking it I'll start serious work on it. It would be nice if someone would be background artist, then the work would go by muck faster.
This will take a couple months so maybe Christmas?
