Then why does it feel like that? Everyone who doesn't believe in God attack people who do. Sigh... This is one of the many reasons we can't have world peace.

It's not like we do that to you. Those who try to make you believe in something else I am disgusted by.

Actually IT'S the religious people not atheists

As the person who started the "There's probably no god" topic, I should point out it was created in direct response to a another poster creating an "If you aren't a Christian, then you are wrong" topic.
It was partly an experiment. There were a few early posters in the Christianity topic who said that we shouldn't talk about religion on Scratch, but, quite naturally, the Christian posters defended their right to do so.
So I started an atheism topic to see if they would *still* believe in the right to make religious posts when it wasn't pre-christianity, and lo and behold I attracted *much* more "This topic should be closed" style posts (including one from yourself).
One or two posters, Such as Pinochio, actually posted in both to say they thought the topic should be closed but far more people objected, hypocritically, to the discussion on Atheism than they did to one on Christianity.
Interestingly, the Christianity topic seems to have tailed of after a few pages. Atheists are not flocking to that topic to keep trying to persuade the Christians that they are wrong.
Conversely, the Atheism topic is now up to 24+ pages because the Christians refuse to accept that we don't agree with them, and keep coming back. Make of that what you will.
I should also point out that for those 24+ pages the discussion has been mostly civil - the only person, really, that started complaining about being attacked was *you*, after *you* came to the topic to tell the atheists they were wrong.

I agree with you 100% - . I too am disgusted by those who try to make you believe in something else.
You need to consider carefully though, the difference between persuasion and "being made to do something". Whilst we are quite vocal debaters, no atheist is going to come to your home and threaten you into atheism, or try to make it be illegal to be Christian. Lets consider who does that sort of thing:
****
Is it Atheism or Religion that is trying to get teaching unproven speculation as an alternative to science classes signed into law?
Is it Atheism or Religion that is trying to ensure that provisions keeping the gay community from getting the same rights as the straight community get signed into law?
Is it Atheism or Religion that is trying to get their religious views on abortion signed into law?
In short, which of these two groups appears to be attempting to force others to obey their rules by force of law?
****
And moving onto terrorism, another way of making people believe in something else.
Is it Atheism or Religion that is that has spent decades blowing each other up and shooting each other in Northern Ireland?
Is it Atheism or Religion that piloted planes into buildings?
****
How about emotional blackmail?
Is it Atheism or Religion that tries to scare people into joining by predicting a horrible fate to anyone that doesn't join?

Why, yes. Thank you. Now for the answer- I'm not quite sure but I'd guess it would be Religion, mostly Christianity. Most of the explorers / settlers who came to America some 500 years later were probably all Christians and they assimilated the Native Aboriginals into their culture and probably their religion.

Actually, in some places it is illegal, but I don't think that's right. I should be able to tell people about God.

I find it funny how everyone spells christian wrong
The rules of the internet:Offline
I could not even find 1 example of anyone insulting Christians. Just chill out man, and accept that other people don't have the same religious beliefs.

Um...
1. You still spelled Christian wrong.
2. What if you don't believe in "god"? Who will "punish" us?
I find it kind of funny that most atheists know how to spell Christian better than Christians do.

You'd think he'd have better things to worry about, like punishing people who actually do harm to others and yet, curiously, have to be punished by entirely mortal justice systems.
