My favorite part of Scratch is the visual approach - using blocks brings clarity to many younger viewers who may not even have a good knowledge of typing yet! ;]

I like the interactive nature of the programming—you can see the effect of changing a script right away and tweak it until it does just what you want.

I like the community - the idea that there are people out there who will help others purely out of love-of-scratch.

I love how you never get a Syntax Error. If you don't know what I'm talking about, be thankful.

I love how you don't have to spend hours adding '}'s and ';'s and rescripting again and again like you do on Java, and I like how you see immediately what you've made. I also like how you can see everyone else's projects and either copy their code, or just use them as inspiration. Overall...I LOVE SCRATCH!!!

I have to say that my favorite part of Scratch is that we have the right to share our thoughts and ideas. It really is pretty cool though, how many programs do you know that let kids share their comments and ideas?
