I'm trying to wean my 7 year old onto Scratch which I have only recently downloaded. She finds it interesting/exciting and has a grasp of simple program flow and is well able to create her own sprites and manipulate them simply.
The facility I would really like is something similar, I think, that Squeak utilises. I have 2 PCs in the same room that are networked and it would be very advantageous if we could both share the same open application such that I could do screen manipulations whilst telling her what I'm doing. She could likewise do the same.
I think that this type of interaction would greatly speed up her learning and would be more fun.

Sounds like a lot of trouble---why don't you both sit at the same computer?
One of the pieces of advice given to TAs in computer science is not to touch the students' keyboards---tell them what needs to be typed or done. They'll learn more by doing it themselves, even if it is frustratingly slow for you as guru.
