confused [about project references]

ok so my friend ekekcole downloads my project and makes it so this cat can fly and it said based on heybrians work, and i had no idea what it ment because work wasnt a link so i come back the next day and it says "based on heybrians project" and gives me the link?
whats up with this?
why did it change?
And lastly, what does "work" mean?

When a project is uploaded to the site it gets analyzed by the website. If it finds that it's based on someone else's project it tries to link back to the original project. If the original project has been deleted from the creator's MyStuff then it just links to the creator's MyStuff and says "based on creator's work".

I don't know exactly why in the particular case of you and your friend it changed from "based on X's work" to "based on X' s project". My guess would be that your friend uploaded a new version of the project that the website was able to link to your project.

If you post the link to the project I might be able to check why that happened. It is a bit strange.

i do have two diffrent versions. one is "velocitycat" and the other is "velocitycat(better)"
