Sure. I really dont care who you suggest as long as they dont have super strength and no weaknesses (Like indestructible, Invincible, super guy.)

If you want to add something, add a salt shaker with eyes. That's right. A salt shaker with eyes.

And, I don't mean to say you're not an amazing scratcher (although you might not be, I've never seen your projects), but with the current version of scratch, you won't be able to do it without so much lag that it won't work. If somehow you manage to squeeze in enough sprites and scripts, the only way you would be able to do it would be to have static images that have pretty bad attacks. And think about it. To make the least posssibly good-yet-functional sprite, you'd need at LEAST 10 sprites for each charector. That's over 300 scripts not taking into account:
Stages
Menus
Selctions
Difficulty
Modes
Counters
Obstacles
Music
And a whole bunch of other stuff. All in all, if you'd include all that you'd need an insane amount of lag. That means you wont be able to include adventure mode without lag so much it's unbearable.

Of course, this isn't going to discourage you. This will make you try harder to prove me wrong. So, when (if?) you acutally come out with this game, with somehow including all 35+ charectors, with functionality, stages, charector select, and etc, I'll slap my self in the face and say 'Wow, it was done'. But until then I'll go ahead and laugh at you from over here.

EDIT:There are probably some things wrong with my Scratch-Match (Scrath?) but the principal remains the same, and still totally logical. Hehehe..., oh sorry, I thought I was done.
