Why? Everybody's stealing from EVERYONE! Why can't we all just come up with original ideas?

Somehow this doesn't look like a Sensor Board topic....moving it to All About Scratch.
As for "Stealing" stuff...it's not stealing if credit is given. Which is required by the Creative Commons license for this site. Automatic credit, such as the "Based on a project by xxxx" text counts as credit given. It's also a good idea to edit the Project Notes to explain what parts of the project are your work and what parts you remixed using other people's work.

Oh, I just remmbered something
I did a wocky from neopets for Rainpaw's drawing contest
I goto the project one day (well, yesterday, I added it 2 days ago) and I see a remix
o kewl
So I goto the remix, and it's exactly the same thing as mine except the colours are different, no change in project notes or title
I was like huh?
I don't mind actually, it just means I'm worth stealing from like someone else said, but if she enters with it, I'll be... annoyed.
Just for the fun of it, I looked at some of her other projects too and alot had comments like "oh my god, you stole this from me it took like forever to do that background"
xD

lol, I don't know who she is either. And neither do I know anyone else who posted in this thread besides MRN and Paddle2See.
As for "stealing," I don't think it's that big of a problem. There's also going to be people who cheat and lie - you can't have a perfect world. And I think the people who give credit to the rightful owners far outweighs the so-called "thieves." Anyways, it shows that your work is good if someone bothers to use it for themselves. Don't get caught up in all this stuff, if someone uses your work and learns something from it, be glad that your art is useful and helping others.
