I just looked at the http://scratch.mit.edu/pages/scratchboard pages and the getting started guide. I was a little disappointed to see tha the scratchboard is input only. I was hoping to be able to control a couple of stepper motors or lego robots from a scratch program.
Are there any plans to make output devices as well as input devices?

Hi Kevin,
Have you checked out picocricket.com? The PICO Cricket device uses a PICO blocks programming language very similar to Scratch. The PICO Cricket can control output devices too. The PICO Cricket integrates nicely with LEGO pieces if that's what you're interested in controlling. (Note that the motors included are LEGO-style geared-down DC motors and not steppers.)

We have settled on the pricing for Scratch Boards. When our website is ready to accept payments (expected in a few weeks), the Scratch Boards will cost:
* For shipments to the United States: $25 USD per Scratch Board + $5 USD for shipping for the order
* For shipments to Non-US addresses: $25 USD per Scratch Board + $20 USD for shipping for the order
Note: Up to 10 Scratch Boards can be included with each order, and the shipping price applies to the whole order (not each board). For example, a US order for 3 Scratch Boards will cost a total of $80 (3 x $25 = $75 for the boards plus $5 for shipping). If you are interested in purchasing more than 10 Scratch Boards, you can place multiple orders.
The website will accept payments from major credit cards. We will post a message to this forum when our website is ready to accept payments
Thank you for your interest in the Scratch Boards.
