A side-scrolling fighter

I know that many people have figured out how to make a side scrolling game now (thanks archmage) but most are basically the same. Run to the side, jump over holes, maybe press space to kill an enemy here of there. I think somebody should try and make a side scrolling game that focuses more on fighting enemies and less on jumping over pits. Its just an idea and it may be harder, but I think they are more fun. (For example the classic Megaman games)

No one has to do this if they don't want to, but it would still be cool if they did. I would try myself but I am pretty busy as it is and unlike some others I have not already set up a side scrolling engine.

Re: A side-scrolling fighter

The reason I didn't put a lot of enemies in is because I didn't want my program to lag. Scratch gets very laggy if you have too many sprites executing their scripts so in Archknight's Adventure I put in only 3 enemies.

Re: A side-scrolling fighter

Oh. I was wondering why no one seemed to do it.
