Logging off

Am I the only one who gets logged off randomly or is this a common thing?  They should definitely fix that.  If I click on a new page, there's like a 50% chance that I'm gonna get logged out for no reason.

Re: Logging off

minnvikings26, there was a problem a while back with lots of people getting logged off frequently.  The problems with that have mainly disappeared, but apparently have not been completely eliminated.

Please let the scratch team know (either here or through the "Contact Us" links at the bottom of every page):
what browser you are using (full version information)
what operating system you are running under (again, full version info)
what your settings are for saving cookies in the browser
These will help them attempt to reproduce the problem and find a solution for you.

Re: Logging off

I'm running Mac OS 10.3.9 on a G5 mac and I use firefox
(Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080201 Firefox/2.0.0.12)
and I haven't had any trouble lately with the MIT site logging me out.

Does the site rely on cookies?  There seem to be 6 set in my browser from scratch.mit.edu.  Perhaps your browser is set to refuse cookies.  (In firefox, check under preferences, privacy.)
