New Members: How to speak Text

Sometimes it is hard to understand what some people are saying on scratch. Why? Because they talk in a way like, "ROTFLOL c u l8er!!!!11" or, "LOL cya!!!!". What do they mean? This guide will help you. If you have any suggestions, please post them.

LOL: Laughing out loud

ROTFLOL : Rolling on the floor laughing out loud

ROTFLMBO: Rolling on the floor laughing my butt off

Pwned: Owned

cya: See ya

u: You

l8ter: later

TTFN: Ta ta for now

TTYL: Talk to you later

C: See

Meh: Me

Teh: The

Da: The

LMBO: Laughing my but off

Iz: Is

TMOT: Trust me on this

IK: I know

IDK: I don't know

IDC: I don't care

And basically anything with 8 in means -ate, whether it's h8, w8 or calcul8.

Why are you telling this to new members? I'm sure hundreds of them know it way better than you ever will. This is for people new to the internet. No, new to computers. No, even knew to cell phones, blackberries, whatever. If they were going on the internet for the first time ever, this would be helpful. But they aren't and it's not.

And of course there are a few ruder ones, like ROTFLMAO, and *. I'm not sure whether you can get reported for things like that, as long as you only use the shorthand version.
