Yeah but you said he was forcing people. He's NOT forcing people since no one's doing it. Forcing means that you must do it. Therefore, it means that he's not forcing people to do it at all. Understand?

He'll probably make a big scene about quitting then come back the next day. If he were to quit while keeping the respect he's earned he can only come back once in 5 months and 12 days, and then keep returning until he's 'back' again, but because of this he has none so he'll probably keep coming back. It's a shame, seriously.
