Just asking something offtopic archmage, not to embarrass you or anything, but didn't I beat you once in a Brawl without lag? Right after TheSaint left? And then in the next match you totally kicked my butt with MK?

Yeah, you beat me once in your 100th game when I was using a bad character.

Ok what do you want me to say? Congrats on beating me once out of more than 100 games? DJM beat me every 10th game.

I've never seen any fighting games before but I've seen a pretty interesting one in the Inspiration and More Forum that said it'd have over 30 characters. I'm looking more forward to that one rather than this one.

if they havent finished that one it wont get finished
i've made games with 20 characters but whenever i get near thirty it lags like crazy. that game is never going to be made, my game is already made, believe me thats just scratch being over excited as usual.

But I've seen the sprites and the demo. You can't just randomly assume something won't get finished because it's too hard for you to accomplish yourself. I can't program anything but you don't see me calling some stuff I probably won't be able to do for weeks as something that'll never finish. It's really disrespectful.

FYI no one who has claimed to be making a game with 30 character has done this on scratch... ever. The closest you can get is have 30 "characters" all the same and with 1 unique costume. Scratch can't handle large scale games like that.

like i said, 30 characters is impossible, ive gone the maximum and did like 28 and it lagged so much that i hated the game, the only way to do that is with something like super smash bros ball. im just teling you the truth, its never goign to get finished.

Maybe you could provide a link to the aforementioned thread? Its probably just an ideas thread if its in the inspiration forum since people usually don't talk about scratch projects there.

Here's the link: http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=18438
Oh yeah and the guy who's making it is banned so it probably won't get done soon, but this other person told me that he's been working on it at another forum.

Often times you can tell if a project will work out by looking at their previous projects. If they have nothing that even loosely matches the quality of the game they say they will make then they probably won't make it. I've been here for 2 years and that has been the case every time.

yep basically, or if it's obvious the person can't make it

yep
i follow through most of the time, over the years i've learned not to make demos or previes until im almost done the game, also i dont promise anything big, i just say, im considering doing something like this but nothings set in stone yet.

sure, lol, my projects done so while ur waitin u should check it out, give it a comment

I'm not really waiting for anything. In the meantime I'm trying to figure out how this scratch gizmo thing-a-mabob works. How would creating gravity work? Does it have something to do with the 'y' input?
