What Gets A Project Featured?

Please answer this question. What does get a project featured, because it seems that now its random projects, which i know it's not, but i want to know what I have to put into a project, because my Rich boy Poor Boy project had everything that is important andwhat mos featured projects have, and yet, it's not, so please, i want to know what I have to do? Please answer the question, thank you.

Re: What Gets A Project Featured?

Perhaps if you worked on the graphics or added something advanced or new...

Re: What Gets A Project Featured?

The Scratch Team seems to pick projects they like that should be featured. I don't know what they want to see in a project, but if you want your project featured, then yeah, you probably should improve the graphics.

Re: What Gets A Project Featured?

It's not graphics that make a project good.

Re: What Gets A Project Featured?

I think they choose original projects that were well put together. I have definitely seen many hand drawn or factual projects that were featured.

Re: What Gets A Project Featured?

Heh - I've had 3 or 4 featured projects, and I have no idea how they are selected.  Case in point is my original Directions Game, the first project I ever uploaded 8 months ago, which was featured last week.

You need, in effect, to do 2 things to get featured.

1) Do something nobody has ever done before, or do something extremely well, or really push the boundaries of what scratch can do.

2) Get noticed by the Scratch Team.

Number 1 is difficult, but at least it is in your hands.
Number 2 is, apparently, entirely down to the vagaries of fate.

Re: What Gets A Project Featured?

The scratch team often features well made projects about certain holidays  smile

I bet that there will be some valentines day related projects on the frontpage on Feburary 14  wink

Other than holiday projects, the projects the scratch team features are pretty random and there doesn't seem to be any certain criteria that will ensure that your project gets featured.

Re: What Gets A Project Featured?

We also try to avoid featuring projects when people ask us to feature them ;-)

Otherwise everyone is going to start asking to get their projects featured and ask why it was featured for someone and not for them.
