iamrpk: Do you have any fans for your fakedex?
iamrpk: Who inspired you to make a fakedex?
iamrpk: Who is your favorite fakedex character?
iamrpk: Any last thoughts?
1. A fakedex is short for fake pokedex. You can make many fakemon (fake pokemon) that you think would be good for a pokemon game.
2. The main people who look at my fakedex are Mr Mokey, Robotkitty, and Joeisawesome. some times Igglepie.
3. Well, i really enjoyed looking at other peoples fakedexes. Also, I liked making fakemon. So I thought I could just post my pokemon on scratch and have a fakedex.
4. Well from my fakedex, I like my water starter Manasea. His 2 evolutions are Manice, and then to Unice.
5. I am a fan of the Scratcher Newspaper so its great that I get to see my fakedex in it. Scratch on!

Educators Section Closed
From past issues of the newspaper, you may have heard about the recent addition of ScratchEd. On a completely different site, it doesn't really effect us does it?
Recently, the entire educators section has been closed to posting and has been moved to the ScratchEd site. Under the section description it says: "Discuss how you're using Scratch in education. Closed to new posts and moving to scratched.media.mit.edu". And it's true, you can no longer post there.
Investigating more, I clicked on the sticky titled "ScratchEd", and discovered the topic was closed to "keep the Scratch educator community discussions in a central location on ScratchEd" according to karenb, a member of the scratch team.

I was thinking maybe I could do weekly a review where I do a small article about an awesome game each week, possibly get a small interview in- it would appeal greatly to the gamers on scratch.

ok joe. Sorry for the rather long wait. I don't think we should do another fakedex interveiw, we have wiimaster's already. How about an interveiw about the past and future of scratch?
Greenflash: You've been on scratch for more than a year. What was scratch like in the past? Was the website an different?
Greenflash: What improvements would you like to see in the next version of scratch?
Greenflash: What improvements to the website would you like?
Greenflash: Any thoughts about the future of the front page?
Greenflash: What "era" of scratch are we in?
Greenflash: What is something special about this time in Scratch history?
Greenflash: What are a few things you think the next "generation" of Scrathers will remember about this time?
Greenflash: How do you want to leave your mark on Scratch?
Greenflash: What do you think every new member should know about Scratch?

Greenflash: You've been on scratch for more than a year. What was scratch like in the past? Was the website an different?
joeisawesome:In the past Scratch had a more "varied" front page, so to say. Names like Bluestribute, Bobby500, or Newareagle were always seen up there. Forumwise, it was only recently until they made Inspiration & More and Text-based games. All we would post in was the Show and Tell Forum.
G: What improvements would you like to see in the next version of scratch?
j:Perhaps a gravity block would be nice, so you could do less coding for jumping and falling. And maybe a Free-form Select tool for the Paint Editor.
G: What improvements to the website would you like?
j:Seeing the everllasting conflict caused by the lack of games and too much art on the Front Page, a filter would be in suggestion. When uploading a project, you have two options to put it in: Games, or Arts. Then the Games would have a "Top viewed, loved, remixed, downloaded, etc." on the Front Page, and same with the Arts.
G: Any thoughts about the future of the front page?
j:Hopefully they will do something to destroy the battle between Games and Art on the Front Page.
G: What "era" of scratch are we in?
J:Personally I have to say we are in the era of Forum Dragon Hatching.
G: What is something special about this time in Scratch history?
j:We get to see some art on the Front, which we never had back in the day.
G: What are a few things you think the next "generation" of Scrathers will remember about this time?
j: The dragons.
G: How do you want to leave your mark on Scratch?
j:To make sure that all members, old or new, carry on our traditions and make us live on.
G: What do you think every new member should know about Scratch?
j:It may see tough at first, but trust me, you'll get the hang of it, and maybe even get Front Page!

The End of the Scratch Olympics
Two days after the supposed day of the judging of the Scratch Olympics, the competition is cancelled. This was found out five days ago, when technoman deleted the gallery to add the projects to be entered to, and didn't really talk much on the stickied thread for the competition. After a brief stint of claiming the Olympics were still on, and users asking for answers, the competition was apparently cancelled, as no answers were given This was most likely a move to save himself and his judges the embarrasment of judging only a few projects from a few teams. I personally think it was more embarrasing to cancel the competition, but what can I do about it?
There is also supposedly a Winter Olympics that will be coming up, and that there'll only be a week to make the projects so people don't forget and lose interest. I do hope that that competition does better, and every Scratcher who enters can show what they're made of.
Better? (Not in a rude tone)Just wait a little bit before we post it, now technoman claims that the Olympics are still on.
Never mind. It appears the Olympics are still cancelled. I also added a little update, and that's what I'd like posted.
