The Basics: Getting Started with Scratch

1. Download Scratch

Download it here: http://scratch.mit.edu/download

Remember, there is no virus attached to the file, the download is safe. and the web site has the projects to prove it  wink

2. Create an Account: http://scratch.mit.edu click "sign up"

3. Get a Cool Icon. You Can Change your icon, by clicking "My Stuff" and then clicking "Change User Image" You selected an image you already have, or search for them on google (http://google.com)

4. Add Friends: You Add people to your friends list by going to their profile and selecting "Add to Friends." You can view people's profiles by searching for a project in the search bar.

5. Play Projects: Search Projects in the search bar. Try searching "maze" or sum other type of game you like, maby mario? well then click the link. the project will take a few minutes to load, sum times less. you can tell the creator what you think, by adding a comment to their project. You can also click the "love it" button if you REALLY REALLY like the project.

6. Upload a Project: Need help with making a project? Well open up scratch, and then click "Help" and then "Help Page" This will give you basic idea of how to create projects. When your done, click upload, and upload your project to the site. when its done, go back to your "My Stuff" page, and it should be there!

7. Now Explore Scratch Your self! Maby try making a gallery (scroll to them bottom of your "My Stuff" Page) or joining one!

8. Now Have Fun on Scratch! Create, Make Friends, Chat, Play, Animate!
