Friend Requests/Confirmation on the Website

I've had enough of random users adding me just because they want to be friends with every user possible on Scratch. Surely others must have had enough, too.

My idea is based off other, bigger, networking sites' methods:
When "Scratcher A" wants to be friends with "Scratcher B", A will click "Become Friend", BUT FIRST, B gets notified that A wants to be friends with him/her. If B replies yes, it's because B is okay with his/her username on A's friendlist, and most likely, because they have become mutual friends on Scratch.

Comments?
Opinions?
Please reply.

Re: Friend Requests/Confirmation on the Website

This was here before. And it was considered as not needed, but I agree - there should be subscriptions and friendships instead of asymmetrical friendships.
