need help on...

i need help on making it so thaat its only the sprites feet that r touching the ground cuz when he falls from somewhere high he like sinks into the ground
please help

To make the FEET touch the ground you can change the "costume center" of the sprite.  Take the Scratch Cat for example. Open a new project, select the Cat and "edit" his first costume. You'll see all the color choices at the bottom left of the edit box, and under them a little "+" sign labeled "Set costume center." Click on the "+".  Now you will see "crosshairs" aimed right at the center of the cat. ____What you want to do is drag those crosshairs down until the horizontal line just touches the bottom of the cat's feet. Then click on OK.  Now, if you set your "go to x/y" command correctly you can easily tune the project so the the feet just touch the ground.  I had to do that in a "gravity" project recently, http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Larry828/652150 called "Oscillation."
If you check that project you can see the crosshairs set to the feet, and you can watch the cat bounce off the ground a dozen times.  Good luck!
