When I had Scratch 1.3, the [blocks]<play note( )for( )secss>[/blocks] and [blocks]<play drum( )for( )secss>[/blocks] blocks didn't work unless it was online. Then 1.4 came out, and I thought maybe it would work, but it didn't. Is it my computer? I am using Windows XP Home Edition on a Toshiba.
The weird thing is, instruments and drums work perfectly fine when it's on the internet, and my sister's computer has scratch as well, but it works on that one. Could anyone help?
Thanks,
WeirdF

Some things to do.
• Turn up your volume.
• It works only online.
• Sound doesn't work.

I've tried that turning up my volume, nothing happened, so I put it online, and it worked then, and my problem is that it only works online, that's kinda what this post is about. My sound works because I have heard other things on my computer perfectly.

I would look around in your control panel area for a mixer volume and make sure your MIDI volume was not muted or set to a low level. You might find it by right-clicking on the volume control that appears in your system tray.

In the volume mixer, I turned up SW Synth, and that worked! Thanks!
