Being in top whatever

I think th Scratchrs are being Un Fair with what they feature, projects and gallerys, it is always the same people who get featured!

Two notable people are(no offense to them) MyRedNeptune and Archmage.

Many people should get featured at times, some are these people(some are my friends but they really do deserve it):

Lanie
Katie114
Paddle2See(I Think Has been in the past)
And Finally, someone who you wouldn't expect me to put down, Oldschooler2.

Also, if you've ever saw Scratch Nations, or fantasy world, or any other RPG gallery, they should get seen, and just for the record I came up with RPG galleryswith scratch nations, I owned it, and It was the first.

Hmm... I don't really get the point of this topic. Yes, we get featured a lot. Yes, it may be annoying. But what do you want us to do?

http://i52.tinypic.com/5es7t0.png I know what you're thinking! "Neptune! Get rid of those filthy advertisements and give us back the Zarathustra siggy, you horrible person!" Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

Re: Being in top whatever

We do try to feature projects from a diverse range of people. The only things we try to avoid are projects about war, violence and those that are mostly based on brands and products such as movies. We have exceptions but that's a general topic. Thanks for letting us know about those Scratchrers, I hadn't seen their projects, some of them are really cool. Expect to see one of them featured at some point  wink

O.K., nut I've noticed that a lot of featured projects are tutorials, and things helping scratch, but not even allof those get seen! I had three, and no one ever saw them or even commented on them! And, also a lot of featured projects are by people that have other projects in Top Veiwed, Loved ect., also I've seen many educational projects featured, but there are MANY to be seen, again, some of my past projects.

Re: Being in top whatever

funkymonkey: We try to feature galleries that are about a specific topic and that are well managed by their owner. If it seems that the owner and the people putting projects on the gallery stick to one topic and don't simply just add "anything" then it is more likely to get featured. Also galleries should promote the values of respect and inclusion of the Scratch community. An owner should control the quality of the comments and avoid turning a gallery into a chaotic chat room. Ideally we would like to feature original galleries, using popular TV shows decreases the chances to be featured. Maintaining a gallery is a lot of work. Think of it as a museum. In a museum the people picking the pieces of art for the gallery do it in a very careful way and maintain the place tidy.

Re: Being in top whatever

How do you get in the top loved section, because my "RPG Battle 1.1" game has had many love its for a long time but I never saw it in the top loved section. It now has 24 love-its with only 308 views. I know that some projects have more love-its but that is because they have 1000's of views. (Or has my project been in the top loved and I just didn't know?) Not to sound like I'm whining, I'm just wondering if you hand-pick the games that go in these sections or if it is just a computer that finds these games.
