Here are a few things that I think would be really useful in Scratch, I've kept in miind the fact that it is suosed to be simple and not confuse new comers. Please post your comments, suggestions or disagreements.
1. The ability to organize sprites (and also, less importantly, scripts and variables) into folders. - It would make life so much easier when building big projects. Eg. People Sprites, Object sprites etc. (similar to that in the sprite pallet)
3. The ability to write text onscreen (like the say button but without a speech bubble) and to make variables text so that you could write [blocks]<say[Some Variable] [/blocks] and it woudl show the value of the variable.
4. The ability to stamp onto different sprites not just the background and the ability to erase different stamps (instead of doing them all in one go)
5. Full keyboard support - Please!!!!!
6. The ability to create sprites larger than the stage, being able to resize the stage and the different parts of the window would also help.
7. A copy and paste function for the costume editor
Some other, more comlicated ones include making a sprite template and then clones from that, if the template is changed, they change but they can each have their own variables and extra scripts. This would save time when debugging.
I have listed these in order of importance to me, others may order them differently, tjis is only my opinion. Scratch Team, please do have a look of these say whether you think these changes are possible or not. A few changes like this would make Scratch even better while not cuasing any extra confusion for beginners.
