I love writing stories about whats going on, so I decided to start a scratch newspaper. Write about anything you like, an ad for a game is OK once in a while, but don't go overboard, or I'll delete your posts.

10,000 Posts!
by throughthefire
So far, no topic in the forums has ever broken 10,000 posts. Well, that will change someday soon. Our most likely canidate is the WOTF RPGing thread. So far, it has over 6,000 posts and counting! The reason? I don't know, there have been many like it. It is very active and the users go off topic a lot. I guess that it was luck that brought all those posters! There is also a single thread dedicated to getting 10,000 posts. They have about 1200, but it hasn't been very active lately. Who will win the 10,000th race?

RPG will win. There's more of a point to posting I think.
Currently, many people are interested in dragons. You can look on nearly any forum thread and you will find dragon eggs in somebody's signature. There are even some threads devoted to displaying dragons. The twwo popular sites are dragon adopters and dragon cave.

Are we putting the scratch newspaper in a project?
I'm not, you can. This is more of an in-forums thing. Manga_Chick09 or sothing like that was doing it in a project, but that kinda ended. Write anything about scratch, but for now, its a forums newspaper.

Scratch Team launches new website directed to educators
Recently, on the Scratch website's homepage users have noticed a new box, containing a link to "ScratchEd", a website directed to educators using Scratch. Here's a exact quote describing the website's purpose:
Do you help people learn Scratch? Join ScratchEd, our new online community for educators.
ScratchEd's motto is "Learn, Share, Connect", indicating the website's purpose of getting educators to connect and learn from each other, sharing their techniques and knowledge. The website can be found here.

Recently there have been many projects in the Scratch Design Studio "The front page." Will one of these peoples ideas actually be put to use? Voice your opinion, make your project, or just view other scratchers ideas for fun.
In other news there has been a project going around trying to get all the projects in Scratch. So far the largest one has up of 2000 projects. I doubt they'll get the rest, but we can wait and see.
