i like the ideas! but i think the scrolling will make the frontpage really slow...
and if the scratch team adds the customization thing, your settings will have to be saved by cookies or else you will have to change them every time. but great ideas!

Newest Projects Idea
I think that the newest projects should be scrolling, so that there will be more projects shown in a period of time. By scrolling I mean that the project picture and its information below it would scroll left slowly. This would then allow the number of projects shown here to increase to around 10.

This would benefit everyone since you are likely to get more views on your projects because they are on the newest projects for longer and it would make the website look better.

Customizable Front Page
I think that the person viewing the front page should be allowed to view what they want, and to arrange the front page how they want. This could be done by having a new option called customize front page.

At the moment there are different sections of the front page; newest projects, most loved, most downloaded etc. You could customize it by deciding which of these sections you would like shown. You would go into the new option and there would be three new things shown.

The first would be a 'delete section': sections would have an 'X' next to them which if you pressed it, it would delete that section so it isn't shown on the front page. This section would then be moved to a box on the right where the deleted sections are shown (but only when you are customizing it). The second would be a '+' next to the deleted sections where if you pressed it they would be added to the front page. The third thing would be a little move cursor which would allow you to move the section up or down. So you could have the top loved section above the newest projects section.

This idea would be good as it would allow people viewing the front page to view what they want to view, and nothing else.

Latest Comments
This idea would allow the user to view the latest comments on their projects. It would like the messaging thing, but you could view the comments from the front page without clicking on anything. This could be a small box on the right.

I think this would be a good idea as it would make life easier.
