Yeah. You'll have to look pretty hard to find a smaller one.

You mean pixels, don't you?
That would be cool! But the smallest increase in pixel amount would be plenty. Take a normal pixel. Go to the Scratch Paint Editor and make a sprite with the smallest dot possible. That is one pixel. Now, if they were to increase the pixel amount, you can imagine the size. Imagine your sprite cut into four equal pieces. That would be the smallest increase in quality, yet the pixels are very, very small.
Frankly, I think it's impossible. Think about the pixels on your computer monitor. How would it display the smaller pixels? It would take four pixels and make them into one pixel to display. Back where we started.

No I mean dots. The dots on scratch paint edditer are a lot bigger than pixles. So they could make them much smaller.

The dots for pen and line and shapes are different; the smallest dot is one pixel. You can change them. For instance, if you want to draw a square with line width = 1px, go to line tool, change pen size to the smallest, don't draw anything, then go to square tool and draw a square with line width = 1px. And if you mean chessboard at the background, it means transparency and shouldn't be changed.
