People could just comment on their own stuff, and anyway this would completely unrelated to what should be on the front page.

yah i agree with what BWOG said, in fact that's what I would do, it would be a race to see who was the most dedicated to spamming comments.

Well, this is another repeating FAIL idea on forums (not mentioning blocking downloading projects, PMs, chats and migrating forum to phpBB3). No; because hey, Scratch registration doesn't have CAPTCHA! I can set up a bot on my computer which will post randomly generated comments on my projects to get them on front page (and hey! I can do this EVEN IN SCRATCH, involving small Ruby sprite to communicate with server). So no. Scratch Team won't do anything like that.
Converting my Scratch projects to Python!
